Happy Election Day!  Many of us are happy indeed to see the end of this crazy campaign season.  In our school mock election last week, Donald Trump won with 60.8% of the vote. Hillary Clinton got 33.6% and 5.6% went to other candidates.

AND NOW THE INFORMATION YOU’VE BEEN WAITING FOR:  THE VOTE FOR BOOKS RESULTS

During the mock election, students had a chance to select one of these titles as their favorite. The results are:
1st Place: Diary of a Wimpy Kid (18% of the vote)
2nd Place: Harry Potter Series (12.4% of the vote)
3rd Place: The Fault in Our Stars (11.5% of the vote)
and the rest: The Hunger Games (10.6%), The Maze Runner (9.3%), Freak the Mighty (8.9%), I Survived (8.5%), Percy Jackson (7.8%), Wonder (6.9%), and Holes (6.1%).
So it appears that while Harry Potter was outstandingly popular in the “primaries,” it was Diary of a Wimpy Kid that won in the actual election.
And guess what? WE NOW HAVE ALL TEN BOOKS!!!
